Reply with quote | #1 | I don't usually like to gripe but this has been a big concern for us. When we are away for parts of the summer, Guy and I leave a mail-forwarding form with the Post Office but every year, they forget or partially forget, so that mail is still delivered to our house while we are away, seemingly on an unpredictable schedule. This year it has been _particularly_ difficult to get them to remember to forward our mail and thanks only to our neighbors are we getting important bills, etc. The Thistlethwaites have spent nearly $50 to send us mail that they found in our box! Several personal visits and reminders to the post office did not alleviate the situation. We've also noticed many more mis-delivered items, as though someone just isn't reading the street address or name on the envelopes very carefully, at all! We have called the Post Office 800-number and someone there _may_ be listening, but we are not yet sure they understand how important it is to be able to trust the forwarding process. Is anyone else experiencing difficulty like this? If so, perhaps there's some way we as a neighborhood could lodge a collective complaint. Judy Groulx
