Here's a letter that was sent in December from the PTA to the parents at Lily B.  It also included a PDF with a map of how to drop off kids safely.

Dear Lily B. Parents:

HELP! WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

For weeks, the traffic situation at drop-off time and dismissal time has been increasingly

chaotic and dangerous. Parents, staff and neighbors are concerned. Now the Fort Worth

Police Department is stepping in to enforce the standard procedures for dropping off and picking

up students.

All of the following actions are illegal and will earn a citation if witnessed by a police officer:

• Dropping your child in the street at any time.

• Calling a child into traffic because you do not want to get out of your car.

• Crossing children on or off of school property at any location except the designated crosswalks.

• Parking and leaving your car in the “No Parking / Pick Up & Drop Off ” area.

(The police are in the process of making this a “tow zone” during posted hours.)

All of us have erred at one time or another, cutting corners to get to work or make our way to another

activity. Please understand that the traffic policy is not meant to inconvience parents but

to ensure the safety of our precious children. Now, let’s all get together to respect the staff and

parents who are enforcing the rules, and fix the problem before it ends in a real tragedy.

Out of love for your child and care for the others, please review the map below for pick-up

and drop-off locations.

Thank you so much for caring about the safety of our Lily B. children.

Lily B. Clayton PTA
